Do you want to help a high school student, make a great contribution to the Nordic ski community, get paid, and have a ton of fun all at the same time? If so, you’re a perfect candidate to be a Junior Nordic High School Buddy!

Here’s the deal:

We have many interested, talented, and eager high school skiers who are unable to coach Junior Nordic because they have Saturday races that conflict with some of our Saturday practices. And we really need more coaches so we can get interested skies off of our (huge!) waiting list. So, we’re looking for “high school buddies” willing to work with some awesome racers to cover their races days.

Here’s the high-school race schedule for 2021-22:

  • December 11th
  • January 8th
  • January 15th
  • January 22n
  • January 29th
  • February 12th

That’s just six fun-filled Saturday mornings! If you sign up, you’ll make it possible for a high-school racer to coach and allow Junior Nordic to pull some eager skiers off the waiting list for our second session starting in January.

Interested? If so, just fill our coach application form, and make sure the check the “High School Buddy” checkbox. Once we have your application, one of our Junior Nordic site directors will reach out to talk further.

And if this doesn’t work with your schedule, we would still deeply appreciate it if you could help us spread the word.

Thanks to everybody, and happy skiing!
